Programmer Analyst
In the Programmer Analyst role, you will design and build business applications with content management and workflow technologies. This could include work on client systems or internal TriTek projects. Tasks may include all phases of the system lifecycle, including technical design, coding, testing, documentation, training, and production support. For client projects, you will have significant interaction with the client staff especially during the testing, training, and production support phases. Most of the systems we build are web-based applications using either J2EE or .Net technologies. Candidates should have a solid background in web-based software design and development with some experience in Java, .Net, or J2EE. You will be expected to learn new programming languages, APIs, or other tools as projects require while applying fundamental computer science concepts. At TriTek, developers frequently have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies such as Web Services, AJAX, and Hibernate as well as the latest proprietary technologies.
Business Analyst
Business Analysts will participate in many of the functional and client interfacing aspects of the system lifecycle, including requirements analysis, functional design, testing, documentation, training, and production support. The key role of the Business Analyst is to understand both the functional requirements of the customer and the designed functional capabilities of the system and to ensure that the system that is implemented supports these capabilities. A typical role for a Business Analyst is to be a reference source for other project team members on the details of how system features should be implemented. A Business Analyst may also be responsible for setting up detailed configurations needed for workflows and configurable user interface software. You should have experience in requirements analysis and functional system design along with an understanding of and interest in technology and how it can be applied. You should also be familiar with the typical requirements and design methodologies used in the industry as well as have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Technical Lead
The technical lead role provides senior technical expertise and oversight on a project. This may include developing the system architecture, design and coding more difficult parts of the project, leading a small team of programmers, or providing expertise in the configuration and operations of tools and technologies. You would be the person responsible for ensuring that a system performs well, is scalable, and that the code meets reasonable industry practices. At TriTek, a technical lead generally has at least 5 years experience as a programmer analyst and several years experience with the specific technologies being used. At other firms, this role might be known as a technical architect or lead programmer analyst, but we combine these job titles into a single role. In essence, this role is to ensure the technical quality of the application being developed.
Project Manager
At TriTek, the role of the Project Manager is to lead a team to successfully execute the substance of the project. The project manager often takes roles such as lead analyst, development manager, and senior developer, in addition to the more traditional administrative responsibilities in running a project. You will be responsible for all client interaction, under the supervision of senior management, and ensure that the project is executed within the time and cost constraints laid out in the SOW. Most Project Managers also become involved in sizing new projects and assist the sales staff in the preparation of proposals and SOWs. Depending on the size and complexity of the project, Project Managers need at least 3 to 5 years of experience in other roles delivering similar types of projects. Excellent oral and written communication skills are also required.
At TriTek, we actively seek talented individuals interested in emerging technologies and the application of these technologies to solve real world business problems. We recognize that these employees are the primary reason for our success.
In order to support our philosophy of small, multi-disciplinary project teams, we look for people that can fill one or more roles. Specialists are needed to provide depth in specific technologies or business subject matter, but often the most valuable employees are those that can handle multiple types of assignments and deal with a client's specific challenges themselves. This reduces the amount of coordination and communication needed to get the job done. It also means that the person solving the technical issue is likely to understand the underlying business issue. This generally leads to a better, more effective solution.
In order to support our rapid, sustained growth of over 20% per year, we are constantly looking for new staff who can fill one or more of the roles listed below. Candidates can choose from 3 office locations – Washington, DC, New York City, or Boston.

TriTek football team wins championship for the Foundation Fighting Blindness.
Combining a love of sports and the will to do good, our New York office formed a football team through ZogSports, a charity focused sports club. After three years of hard play, TriTek's "Afternoon Delight" has won a championship! The prize was $450.00 to the team's charity, the Foundation Fighting Blindness.
